Brown Spots / IPL Therapy

IPL Therapy is an exciting new therapy for brown spots (melasma) and hyperpigmented lesions. By attacking the melanin pigmentation in the skin the IPL fragments the pigmented cells without injuring the skin.

In addition, treatment of melasma may include the discontinuation of oral contraceptives, using sunscreen regularly, and avoiding sun exposure as much as possible. Bleaching agents such as hydroquinone or cosmetic camouflage can be used to lighten or hide the color.
